I have always wonder how Prince would look like without makeup. Would he look the same?

Make up is to cover some things.. so he would look like his age i think!

Make-up is less about covering things then it is about creating illusions.

Cameras << capture more light waves in frequencies that are less regersterable to the naked human eye.

That is one good reason everyone wares makeup in a profestional setting.

The best understanding I can show you as to the effect of lightwaves into a camera is: if you get a camcorder and you point your television remote at the camera and press the remotes buttons you will see the light shoot out of the remote, however if you point it at your eye you will not.

The question is to a wide range of people, most of those people are not "seeing" prince in a naturally lit room face to face. If that is you just be thankful, but you must realize most people are not you.

Prince uses makeup not to "hide" flaws, but he uses it because he is a "entertainer". He is always in the public eye when he goes outside. Prince is always being photographed and videoed. that is why he uses the make-up.

This doesn't exclude his Shows where no cameras are, at that point he is still on stage and everyone on stage uses makeup.

i think this is as close to un-made up as we're gonna get. even here i detect some make-uppery.

Its not so much the makeup, as you can TELL he is wearing it. I think the eyeliner and mascara are HOTTTT, its the foundation that does not look cool.

I know he has tons of money, cant he hire someone to create a foundation that matches his skin?

He is really beautiful. When I was dancing next to him at the Chicago Tamar show, I was amazed at what a perfect face he has. Huge eyes, tasty jawline, full lips.

I always thought the excess makeup was psychological...

I use make-up to enhance.. Not to cover. Do you think there is a possibility that that is what Prince is doing?

There is a close-up photo of him that a famous photographer took here in the last 5 years. I think I saw the pic in Entertainment Weekly or Rolling Stone. He looks a bit older than your mind's eye might see him but he doesn't look as different as say Cameron Diaz does without makeup.
