Prince has a career that is one of American Music's most unique and unusual. His arbitrary uses of his bands and lineups is intresting, because his albums are like historical documents of his playing and musicianship as it relates to the musical personnel he employs. That's why the concept of Prince recording an album with tunes with his most distinguished bands. For instance one or two songs with Dez Dickerson, Lisa Coleman, Bobby Z, Matt Fink, Andre Cymone, The Revolution(Wendy, Lisa, Bobby, Mark, Matt), The Counter-Revolution (original Revolution with Eric Leeds, Matt Blistan, omitting the dancers), The New Power Generation, The Musicology band, and his Lovesexy band members to name a few.

I know it's unrealistic but that's an interesting idea.
