In watching early videos of Prince, from American Bandstand, to "why do you want to treat me so bad", to others...Prince just couldn't move onstage with any coordination. Then, apparently around the time of Purple Rain, he became a great dancer. How did this happen?...it's curious considering how organized the Time, and Vanity 6 appeared...what happened before Purple Rain that turned on a bulb in Prince's head to say, dance?

the guy was doin some serious moves during the 1999 shows. check out existing video footage of him going insane during the vamp of dirtymind ontop of some speaker/platform thing. the guy was splitting like a mother fucker and his energy was electric..dance electric in fact! haha

his "party up" performance on "saturday night live" has sharper moves than any part of the film Purple Rain... but truth be told, he toned down/shaped the dancing in Purple Rain to avoid comparisons to MJ.
