I'm sure Prince must have forgotten what Cream is really about and has suddenly vowed to never sing it again due to its explicit content.

Thank God for the media for keeping us well informed.

But didn't he do Cream acoustically on the last tour? I'm sure I saw him do it...

Yes, yes he did.

Maybe he'll "forget" what "Erotic City" is about and play it on the tour razz

I just posted "Has The Rude Boy Left The Building" with the same info. I didn't see this post. Sorry.

But yes, it's at Drudge. I wonder if it's true.

well the "pushing the envelope" quote is from a couple of years ago. Him not performing "Cream" for moral reasons sounds wrong since he performed it on the Musicology tour. But I could understand if he were just tired of performing that song.

My point about "Cream" is this -- Prince would have never said he wasn't performing this song any more due to sexual content -- the song isn't about sex. It's Prince building his own confidence...he wrote it while looking in the mirror. Cream rises to the top...not "cream" in the sexual sense. The innuendo is there, but that's a happy little coincidence in Prince's world.

Cream like many of his songs mistaken to be about sexuality isn't about sex at all.
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

It's not about sex per se, but as has been said before, the innuedo is intentionally there.

I assume to think that it is just a way of communication, sudiosexualspeaking, a trick to distract from what is actually being said.

I think the video adds this innuendo more than the song itself does... rather like they use sex to sell soda pop but there no sex in the drink itself.
lol
