I'm sure Prince must have forgotten what Cream is really about and has suddenly vowed to never sing it again due to its explicit content.

Him not performing "Cream" for moral reasons sounds wrong since he performed it on the Musicology tour. But I could understand if he were just tired of performing that song. It's Prince building his own confidence...he wrote it while looking in the mirror. Cream rises to the top...not "cream" in the sexual sense.
