Prince not promoting 3121? Is Prince doing anything for 3121 in the next week?
A couple of TV appearances go along way- "musicology" showed that. Didn't somebody a few months back post a list of the all these shows he was going to be on? Yeah, SNL was great. The Brits were great. Hell, he did more appearances for this album in the spring of 2005 than he has done so far. What's up? [Edited 3/14/06 7:42am] "New Power slide...." |

the episode of snl that he was on is supposed to re-air next week (i forget exactly what date) to coincide with the album's release. other than that and the constant hawkage on his website, dunno. | |

i've seen snipes for 3121 posted on buildings here in ATL. There was radio promo for the Tamar tour. "america is the devils playground and george bush is swingin' on the monkeybars."

Prince is such a mystery when it comes to business.
It's almost as if he consciously tries to destroy every possiblity of being commercially successful. Musicology was the exception to that rule, but it looks like it's more of the same old thing with 3121. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

The only promotion he did last year for 3121 was The Image awards and that's it. 2005 was his year of MUCH NEEDED REST. Those parties held at/for 3121 is not much of an appearance and the the appearances at the People Choice, Golden Globes, and Oscars was just that: appearances, no promotion. | |

To top it off, he always promotes the shitty albums and never the albums that are worth a damn. When it comes to business, Prince is ass backwards. One of the things that just makes me shakes my head when it comes to being a Prince fan. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
