VERY NICE! Are you a graphic designer?

Thanks so much. biggrin And yes, I am a graphic designer. If anyone's really interested I can post the rest of my homemade artwork. I've also got a 2-disc collection of all the Paisley Park 12" singles (Family, Mazarati, Madhouse, Sheila, etc.), a Sheila E's greatest hits CD, and then there's the rest of my Purple Rain special edition. The cover is the same as the official release except I took of "Prince and the Revolution". The disc itself has the purple rain artwork from the back of the "Purple Rain" 12" single and then when you take the CD out of the case the tray is clear and I have the face that was on the album sleeve (and at the end of the "When Doves Cry" video). I just need to flatten everything and convert it all to JPEG and I can post it all.

Oh, and I also burned my Andre Cymone and Vanity LP's to CD and made artwork for them as well. Of course all that was really involved there was scanning in the cover of each record and resizing it to fit a jewel case.

Man its nice to see other people with the song Modernaire. It drove me crazy over the years to find the REAL song. I had a (badly)looped version.lol Now I have it and Dez's cover of When You Were Mine.

There are several releases, all with different covers.

At least those, if not one or two more releases.

There's already a pretty delicious Dream Factory one circulating from the bootleg released a few years back.

Dez released it through his website a year or so ago on a 2-disc collection of his solo stuff. And yes, it's the full-length version of the same song we hear in Purple Rain.

I like the sepia one the best personally - This little image doesn't do it justice, I thought I had a larger version, but I couldn't find it - On the reverse there's more, with a pic of Marylin Monroe (Norma Jean) etc, it's cute, it fits the album well - although I'd still like to see the official artwork given it's brief description in DMSR. smile

Yes, it sounds great. Too bad the master was lost and Dez had to use a cassette version for the CD.

to be honest, i don't like any of 'em. even as bootleggage goes, none of the images are inspired enough to to justice to the woulda-coulda-shoulda-been glory of the project as it stood at the time. but i'm kinda picky about prince album art. giggle

I have a complementry "II" album for most of princes releases. Generally its to capture the extended, b side, unreleased and alternative version in the era.

They are not comprehensive, more a collection of all the A+ sounds and vibes.

Parade II has:

Chistopher Tracy's Intro
Little Girl Wendys Parade
New Position
I Wonder U
Mia Bocca (instrumental segue)
Kiss (extended)
Under The Cherry Moon
4 The tears in your eyes
Sexual Suicide
Anotherloverholenyohead (Extended Edit)
An Honest Man
Love Or Money (Extended)
Mountains (Extended Edit)
Old Friends For Sale (Original Version)
All My Dreams
Alexa De Paris (Extended)
Sometimes it snows in april (Edit Version)
