No, not in the terms I meant (but didn't specify)..I meant (as I believe I said in the first part, met, not be in the same room as or saw from across a dance club floor) face to face

If the criteria is being face-to-face, then yes, albeit very briefly. I had a front-row seat in this weird section of just four seats at one of the Musicology shows. At the end of the show, instead of using his private staircase in the middle of the stage to go "backstage" (under the stage), he came down one of the side staircases, approached the four of us, shook our hands, and then promptly disappeared under the stage.

Neither of us said anything -- he just took both of my hands in his and squeezed them gently. In retrospect, I really don't have anything to say to him unless we're going to have a substantive conversation. I'm sure he's heard stuff like, "Thanks for the music" a million times.

I know what you mean. I'm not sure I'd even want to meet Prince if it was only going to be the standard meet n greet. What could I possibly have to say he hasn't heard over and over already?

1st time was at the first celebration, last encore...he walked 2 the foot of the stage and pointed directly at me...i stood frozen, and shook my head "no", shocked shocked, but he wouldn't let me out of it...he kept looking back, pointing and nodding his head "yes, U!"...we went back n 4th a couple times and then some Grizzly Adams looking dude runs down the aisle, knocks me out of the way, gets 2 the orchestra pit, throws his hands up in the air in celebration...Prince looks down at him, shakes his finger like "nuh-uh, not u!" no no no!no no no! ...and points back 2 me as if 2 say "HER!"...my friend shoves me out in2 the aisle and i surrendered 2 the fact that i really had 2 go up there...it was a total out of body experience, so i only remember bits n pieces, lol...but i DO remember dancing face 2 face w/ him and totally vibing...and from what people tell me, i was the only one he got comfortably close 2...maybe cause i wasn't trying 2 molest him, lol...

2nd time was when Najee was with the band and his name was still prince ....the afterparty in the VIP section...Najee took my friend's hand and she took mine...we walked across the room (which seemed like a million miles) and i was formally introduced...i could barely say a word but he thanked me for the gift i made him that Najee so graceously presented 2 him in his dressing room prior 2 the show...

a few times. he was polite enough, if not awkward.

the first time was at a radio awards show/record release party in miami for rave un2 the joy fantastic. he was with larry and very accessible. he was polite, we joked about a few things (including the new record). it was all of about 10 minutes.

the second time was in ny at the launch party for npgmc. i was on morris's guest list with another friend of mine so we were able to hang out with the band for the night. what was that dancer's name? the one from the hit n'run tour? anyway, she was part of the entourage and was very friendly. at some point in the evening prince and i got into a conversation about radio stations and the crap they play. he had a big conspiracy theory surrounding it and i remember laughing and saying something like, "wow. and i just thought they were concerned about making money." he laughed. then he shook my hand and walked away. lol

Huh? What kinda conspiracy?

the specifics are foggy now but it had to do with radio stations conspiring together and playing only morally repugnant music. it was kind of anti-god thing. what i remember the most is prince getting extremely animated after i said something about "crap on the radio." he prefaced his theory with "and you wanna know why!?" it was pretty surreal to be in studio 54 with prince telling me why he thought radio plays what it does. lol

Thank u Sally.

C'mon Terilicious, tell us more biggrin

How come u've been close 2 him so many times? What did u do 2 upset him that much? &...

If u're that "close" 2 Prince & his crew, there must b many many things u know about the man or his music & might wanna share...

Or won't u sad ?

By the way i find it hard 2 believe that Prince would have his crew asking a girl 2 give him a head & have her signing legal paperwork b4 doing so...

I mean c'mon, this is insane... The guy can have (& have had) any girl he want by himself, he doesn't need his crew 2 ask 4 him!

& this legal stuff... is it even possible 2 make somebody sign such a thing in the USA? In Europe this wouldn't stand in front of any tribunal.

C'mon: "i sue u because u told u sucked me"...

European judges would just laugh. Wouldn't american ones do the same?

He called me on stage when I saw him in Montreal in '92. I refused, and after several failed attempts to get me to come up, he asked the chick beside me to come. She never came back to her seat.

Later that night we are heading back to our hotel and and my bro stopped to go pee at Dunkin' Donuts. Outside were two limos. I waited in the car, but as my brother got out and went to walk in, the window in the first limo went down and Prince nodded hello. Inside, his brother, who I believe worked security at the time, was on a headset taking a donuts order.

My bro ended up meeting Levi in the bathroom.

A couple of years ago I saw him in Ottawa with another brother or mine. The house lights were on, Prince looked our way and proceeded to do a sexy move that caused my brother to burst out in laughter, which in turn then made me crack up. For a few seconds Prince looked totally taken aback and actually acted kinda awkward. After that little incident, he never really looked our way again.

That's the closest I've come to meeting him - which really isn't all that close at all.

I don't think Prince would lower a window in his limo in order to nod to your brother. Why would he have blackout windows for privacy, just to say hello to your bro? nuh uh

PurpleRein: I have no idea why he put his window down, maybe it was 'cuz my bro had a Prince t-shirt on. I dunno...whatever the reason, I saw him do it.

Anyone else having problems with this site today? I keep getting a blank page when I update and I just noticed that my last attempt at a reply resulted in a post with nothing in it.

So I'm mad curious...

How is it that you've been around him so often? Are you in the business or something? How did you piss him off? (I can't imagine it was hard to do, though.)
Come here, babe.. yeah...

If you really met prince, you wouldn't be able to say so because he would have you sign a nondisclousre contract first. lol
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
