Has anyone here met Prince (and I don't mean seeing him from across a dance floor)
Have you every had any sort of conversation with him...?

i've met him a few times. he wont shake your hand (but then you are in such awe of him and those eye's that you don't even think about it)
he don't like it when you go on about how good the music is, how good the show was, how much you love him, he just kinda walks away.
and he always smells great.

all the 'humble' stuff u hear about him - when he speaks to fans etc .. is just him doing what the industry has trained him to do - be polite - but it doesnt last long .

mind u i dont know how long i could be polite to people who think they know me lol

I guess the Prince you get to know depends upon what type of person you are.

met him during the "pimp rag lollipop and a cane" days LOL december 92. Introduced to him by TC Ellis at glam slam mpls. He had heard some production work on a 13 year old rapper ( managed by ellis) that my group had done. He's sitting there with shades on indoors, two chicks and a cane just nodding at everything TC said about who wrote and produced what. Then this human wall stepped in front of us and said ok that's enough. We were drunk, so we were walking away talking loud shit " damn nigga we didnt ask to meet yo ass in the first place!" LOL. Then they kicked us out of VIP LOL!!

Prince is only cool if he thinks you are cool

he only loves you for as long as you love him

i prefer unconditional love myself

it also really depends on the mood he's in.
when i met him after musicology he was in a great mood, but then at the after party he didnt even socialize with anyone.

the very first time i met him, i was like oh my god, i loved the show, you know i was only 13 and went crazy. the next few times i had tamed it down and just asked him to sign something. he was alot more gracious and attentive.
