No 3121 Guitar? I have not been able to listen to the 3121 album yet. However from reading many of your reviews about 3121 the one thing Im very dissapointed with is that there seems to be a lack of great guitar playing on this album from P. I was really hoping with this cd that he would put more of his guitar skills to use, but it sounds like the music is mostly comprised of synths. Are my assumptions about this album correct?

Well there's 'fury' and some decent work towards the end of 'the word'. Obviously there's instances of good rhythym playing dispersed throughout the album, but no, it's not particularly guitar heavy or driven.
That doesn't stop it being a good album though!

Fans have been complaining about a lack of guitar on The Kid's albums since Purple Rain.

There's apparently some brilliant rhythm guitar at the end of Love.
It's too bad Prince has never cut an album of rock songs, 2 guitars, drums and bass, the occasional piano or horn blast. No hard feelings.

"The Dance" also has a nice display within it, as well. Ooh, little darlin' if you're

Nothing new. What I don't understand is...he can DO it. He's a very good guitarist! If his biggest selling album of all time is the guitar-driven album, then, umm...wouldn't you think he should come out with more guitar-heavy music? Fury on SNL kicked major @$$... Please don't tell me the album version is a weak, r-n-b jam. Please... Some people tell me I've got great legs...

The album version is more new wave than rock. You probably won't like it.
The Gold Experience was a guitar-driven album, more or less.... The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.
