Nope...why take a chance screwing with possible negative buzz by leaking demo tracks and having everyone think they're the versions from the CD?

do you think is there a chance he gives us diffrent versions??? I hope you are right! I only heared the title song and that was enough. However I think there will be a couple of good tracks on the album. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

it is not uncommon for prince to have "small untitled" tracks between songs and this might be why the songs end abruptly. In that case the songs would be missing the endings that might be on another track on the album. News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

Radiohead's "Hail To The Thief" leaked a while before it's
official release and that leak was just a rough mix of the album, so not the final product. And although they really did not want to comment on the cd being leaked at all, they did release a press statement at the time saying it was just a demo and not the finished cd so that it did not represent the final songs. In the end the final product was very close to the leaked, and in some places even not as good. "I Will" for instance was a lot better on the leaked disc than on the official. In short, I don't think that these days an unfinished album by Prince would leak. No way. It's not a rough mix it's the real thing. A press copy got leaked, not a demo. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

God I hope so. Some of these songs make JugHead sound like a masterpiece...I was almost hoping for Tony M. to save some of the songs.

harsh!! but yea, the only thing missing from the dreary version of Fury IS a bad Tony M rap and am i the only 1 that cringes at the sad '80's Time-like "fullas, how bad is this girl..." chant on lolita? way to ruin a song

You have people here who get early copies, and they share it with us. I call that being kind, so that we will not avoid buying a shitty album. Pre-listening seems to be a must with Prince these days. All you others say Hell Yea!!

when raVE leaked i rember man of war diffrent then relised version. beautiful young blessed already heard 2 diffrent versions with shorter and longer outro I'm not saying you're wrong, but I have never heard of this Man o' War alternate version you speak of... you are aware there is a different version on the 'In2' version of Rave? Also, I've never heard of different versions of Beautiful, Loved & Blessed either. I'm sure it's possible someone could have edited down the full version for radio or something... other than that, it's not a live version, is it? Just curious. Oh, and I think people are reaching if they think the leaked 3121 is a demo. Certainly the tracks are fully produced and top quality audio. At a stretch, Prince could alter the tracklisting, but I think it is far too late at this stage, and why would he? Would he be following comments from fans and then decide to take songs out and replace them with others - how would he know the new songs would be received any better? It just isn't logical.

How could they be demos when they are sooooo over produced! .

It's a lot easier to produce an almost finished tune nowadays. One hint that they're not fully finished would be the slight clipping of some sounds in a few songs.. let's just wait & see

Moderator | NOTHING sounds complete, including the title track. (my favorite thus far) I have this purple pimple prickel feeling that we are still in for a suprise come 3/21. Could be wrong, often I am ... But ads saying things like "Historic new album?" Pretty bold statement for what I've heard thus far. All Rights Reserved. |

The people coming up with such terms are being payed for doing exactly that.. making bold statements [Edited 3/9/06 17:58pm]

I guess the leaked tracks probably is a result of CD's being sent to radio stations etc, and I doubt that Prince would want to put demo versions on the air...

I respect anyones right to an opinon, but i just can't understand all the hate. This really is his best work for over 10 years. There's not one bad song on the album. Incense and candles is a little weak, but comparisons to the utterly awful 'life of the party' are completely unjust. The album is 12 (?) great pop songs. Yes it's cheesy in places, but it's so fun and uplifting. Musicology was dull and uninspired. There can't be anyone that still puts it on their player. I did like 'Refelection'. Rainbow Children was genuinely exciting, but got bogged down in all the shit: lyrics, vader voice, religion, etc Emancipation. great moments, but too much crap. Rave. Only saving graces were 'strange but true' and 'i love you, but i dont trust'. Anyway, each to their own "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"
"YEAH!!!" "Yeah, well then fuck those other fools!"

There was the same speculation when Musicology leaked, but when it came out it was the same thing.
This cd is a grower, I'm even starting to enjoy Fury, but I still wish it were like the SNL version... And I've not agreed with anyone knocking Incense And Candles, I love that track!

U all R outta your minds.
Everyone simply needs 2 thank God and thank Prince 4 the song "3121". It doesn't need 2 compare 2 earlier "Camille stuff", 'cause this is now, and it exceeds even the greatness of the past... Every instrument, every detail, every voice... and the solo is straight outta and of some the greatest Lovesexy guitar. There can be no complaining on this, or on this album. "3121" is a Prince Funk masterpiece. The dark, low windy background sound is straight outta the Black Album sonic collection. "Love" is the BOMB. Prince on point. Many echoes within of the past, but now. "The Word" (beautiful, with the breakdown at the end, and finishing with a primal scream) "Satisfied" (organic classic old school slow jam. comparable 2 some of the best) "The Dance" (2 beautiful, one of my favs). "Black Sweat" is infectious. I'm a sucker 4 a Black Album era Linn drumbeat, yeah, but the whole arrangement kicks, and it's length is perfect in context of the album. Speaking of which, the sequence of the tracks make each track make perfect sense. I already dug "Te Amo Corazon", but now I really dig it, again, with the context. U all should be elated at the synth sounds, background atmosheric sounds, etc. Also... "Fury" needs 2 be listened 2 without comparison 2 the live version. It will move U. I kind of dig the odd, sort of distant vocal delivery... Don't tell no one, but "Lolita" is growin' on me. Thank U Prince. Don't change a hair of this record. "He's a musician's musician..."
