Prince Songs Everyone Loves...Except You! As a counterpoint to the earlier thread - List Prince songs that are popular with society or the org that you cannot stand. My choices are:
The Most Beautiful Girl In the World - Along with the video, the title should replace "Beautiful" with "Cheesy" The Greatest Romance Ever Sold - nice melodies but too over the top Dolphin - Was this a post- Thriller MJ throwaway? Diamonds and Pearls - Bad Pop lyrics 101 Gold - Purple Rain Lite Purple Rain - Just Kidding!! But I am getting a litte tired of this classic | |

My picks: Crystal Ball--boring and 9+ min. to boot When 2 R in Love--great vocals, but I never wanna listen to it (too poppy I guess) D.M.S.R--this one just goes on forever(like every track after "Delirious" on 1999) It's good live, but I don't have the patience when I'm just listening to it on CD. | |

Get Off and Mountains. These songs are good but not as good as some claim them to be. Oh, and it doesn't seem to me that everybody loves, let alone likes, ICP&C, Black Sweat, Gold, and The Greatest Romance... ICP&C has grown on me and the others are okay, although I can do without The Greatest Romance. [Edited 2/28/06 13:42pm] |

Adore. (Yeah, I said it!) I know there are at least two others orgers that don't dig it--NasalHair and Militant--but I would say we are definitely in the minority.

Still Waiting-the most cringe-inducing P song of them all Gotta Broken Heart Again-2nd most cringe-inducing song of all time Head-not a big deal Songs I like, but don't think are a big deal Adore-the sugariest of all of his songs. I generally have no problem with that, especially when it comes from P, but if fans are gonna dis Diamonds and Pearls for sugar, they're forgetting about this one, the sugar king Alphabet St.-it's alright. nothing more than that, tho.
