Is Prince getting advertising now? I just saw the wierdest thing...a billboard featuring P's music and symbol...for Chevrolet!!! It was promoting the Corvette and attributed a line from LRC to

Ok...somethings wrong in the world...it must be off kilter or something. P's getting advertising and MJ's talking racism. WHOA I saw a full page ad in Entertainment Weekly with the same picture. I wonder if Chevrolet is paying Prince/WB for use of the lyric in the ad, or if they took a stand and pointed out the fact that "corvette" was used in a Prince song with no album credits?? (Why they credited the song to is anybody's guess. They could have at least gotten the man's name right!)

Considering that the song itself was basically free advertising I doubt they really objected to him using the name "corvette" without an album credit. | |
