I've heard BS yesterday and today on our Public Rock channel,
it's on nr2 in their own top.And I was only listening 4 about 20 minutes in my car, maybe I was just lucky.
They don't play it on the more commercial stations and I don't wanna hear
Beautiful one more time...

I like The Black Eyed Peas, better then some others, just 4 fun.
Maybe it's because I already listened 2 The Peas be4 they became
radio friendly? Remember The Joint or Mr Dj (with Macy Gray)?

look its legitimate to point out that Prince is no longer a chartable artist. yes there are reasons for it but seriously with P's legacy and reputation for being a genius muscian radio and in particular black radio should be all over Black Sweat and they straight up inored that song even though MTV played it.

That is a straight diss of Prince...he is no longer relevant on the charts or these weal ass program directors. Thats is a bit of an disapointment because I think he is an alternative to the garbage that we here. But it just seems there are no alternatives especially on balck radio. Back in the day you had Price with a sound (actually many sounds), Michael, Cameo, earth Wind & Fire, Zapp, Sade, I could go on..there were just many differents sounds. Today you don't have that

Still feeling Black Sweat though and 3121 good strong effort from Prince. Just don't dknow what kind of legs the albumn will have without support from radio and no tour.

Its was hilarious today as I listened to WPGC (in Washington) and they annouced Prince ticket give aways. They don't even play the dudes song. Staright up won't play it.

Yes it is over for Prince as far as charting goes. I gurantee you that if Andre3000 came out with a song like 3121 or even Lolita they would play it instantly. Lolita would be a huge cross over hit( of course Andre would not sing that cheesy chrous part..about so sweeta blah blah blah)

The thing is there is a market for P and this kind of music Andree, Pharell, & the Blackeyed Peas to name a few are in it right now.

Hey Ya a great song...a great Pop record Andre does it even black stations played that joint. Prince...for get about it

Its shocking to me really..and very disapointing

same here in the Atl. DJ's are opening their shows with Prince ticket offers and yet wont play the song. It's unbelievable how blatant it is. They know Prince has a HUGE fan base here and yet refuse to play anything new from him.
It is what it is

"You're Beautiful" by James Blunt - Yes - a nice, sappy but HONEST love song
"Check On It" by Beyonce - Dont know it
"My Humps" by Black Eyed Peas - Yes - Perfectly of its time.
"One Wish" by Ray J - Dont know it

Those 4 songs suck serious ass. They are supposed to represent what the youth is listening to and I would fall into that category and it doesn't represent me at all. After hearing 3121, I FINALLY got the revelation that I don't need a chart or the radio to tell me what I should be listening to cause they don't give a fuck about me.

I agree. I am so sick of Beyonce's dumb songs. Bitch is always singing about her
"ass". I can't believe what people are spending their money on these days.

Do you think Prince views it as a rejection? He was never in it for the charts, but when you spend time and money on a project, I would think that you would want to feel that your music/art is appreciated.

cool Every time Prince drops a cd you hear the same thing. As long as he keeps putting out music & the fans keep supporting & buying it. It's not over for him. The only thing that is over is everyone looking for a 1984 -85 flash back.

Oh, No doubt. It's hard to believe that people are still looking for "Purple Rain"

Did anyone click the link and look at the charts? How the heck did SST make it to #67?? That shocks me more than anything - I figured no one but us actually knew about the song, let alone heard in on the radio. I'm blown away.

Im like listening to VH1 in the morning they never play Te Amo Corazon that much. Now they kind of stop playing "Black Sweat" they keep putting that stupid Beyonce song which is like really perveted song. Im sick of listening to the song "You are beautuful" they keep putting the same songs over and over. I think they are ignoring prince.

Surely you don't think that those four songs are better than "Black Sweat"? confuse

I would listen to Shitney Houston before I would listen to any of those songs.

Damn right! I took radio stations that play current music off my dial around 1997 and haven't looked back. Now, if there was just some kind of way to get that hip hop bullshit out of commercials and TV shows so I wouldn't have to hear even the slightest glimpse of it. lol

THE ALBUM IS GOING TO DEBUT AT NO.1 IN THE US !!! yes he will have problems getting a top ten hit again but he is nearly 50 and the singles market has always been a teenage market???...name me artists at 50 and over who have regular hits on the singles chart?....madonna chases whoever is the hot young producer and gets them to get her hit singles...i would rather prince stayed true to myself than go down that road and prince would never let anyone have control over him and his music and why should he?....the guy is a fuckin musicial genius !!....yes he could do with some quality control because he releases so much music but thats just the way he is...
...
...remember as well people, prince pissed off a lot of music bigknobs in the 90s with his attacks on record companies and radio stations...i think this is a factor why he doesnt get widespread airplay any more....

Black Sweat is an attempt to release crap like that, just to have a hit single and he failed. Prince tries to do what's hitting out there and he's been trying to do it with Emancipation, Rave un2 the joy fantastic and now 3121.

I totally disagree."Black Sweat" is a brilliant jam and imo,it doesn't sound anything like the crappy stuff that is polluting the charts right now.
