i know its early days but their is no contest here....i much prefer 3121 and i think i will be playing the new album a lot longer than i did for musicology....

3121 by a mile...whats your thoughts on this?

musicology took me awhile to like, with the exception of "if eye was..."
3121 is very easy to like -- "Love," "The Word," "Lolita," and "Fury"
there isn't anything close to those songs on musicology

I liked Musicology but 3121 is much, much better.

I pulled out Musicology again to give it a good comparison.

There is no comparison, I like Reflection and Dear Mr. Man, but the other stuff is garbage. I'm really liking 3121 much better.

I prefer Musicology. Touched with more emotion, better songwriting, less computer-driven.

I think they are very similar. I enjoy both.

Both out and out short pop records. Almost twins if you will.

I think we'll see prince jumping out of the safety zone with the next effort.

No comparison, 3121 by a couple of miles though I like Musicology.

Musicology is a brides maid to 3121.

Musicology is good but doesnt have the spark that 3121 has all over the place!

3121 sounds to me like a mix of Come, NPS, Rave, and Musicology... 3121 sounds like the "New Power Soul" and there are several other songs that sound too much like the late 90s stuff///

I didn't like Musicology initially, but it grew in me. So far, I love 3121 but I'm not sure I'll be saying this in a few months...

Both are very good. Both have excellent songs and some filler. This would have made a great double disc if he would've released them both as one album.

I'm having some minor problems with 3121 because I don't think it's going to capture Prince's full emotions and ambitions as an artist nor performer, but I think it's going to be a nice, funkier, and soulful record with a lot of exoticism and energy.

I prefer Musicology because even though that digipak packaging sucked, it was just a warm and easy-going record that made the public adore him again. It was a great record to listen to while cruising the streets and not to mention it was one of my favorite summer releases. And that production was just tight and soulful, sorry Musicology haters!
