Can any one ID this song by the lyrics to the chorus?

What is the name of this song, with these lyrics?

Chorus: Oh trip, you're really neat. Maybe you and me we can dance to the beat. Maybe you and me we can feel each other's... heat. tell me baby shall we dance.

Is this even Prince? I thought this was the NPGMC version of the dance.
