why does Prince neglect the guitar in studio albums? for the most part since 95 Prince has totally ignored the guitar in studio releases and i dont undertand why? here's a guy who is awesome on guitar as we have seen live so why wouldnt somebody with his talent on the guitar use it more often in the studio?? its mind boggling Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

I kind of think it's a case for him of, been there, done that. On the ONA tour there's a bit where he's rocking out on When U Were Mine and he says something like 'rock n' roll 101' like this is so easy and simple to him it doesn't challenge him so much. But saying that, he really seems to enjoy thrashing his guitar on tour.
Every now and then he throws up a fantastic rock song. On the new album, Fury is the only rocker, but that he's fluffed compared to the live version. I really don't know why he couldn't have done it with a more live sound - he's done it before with such tracks as One Of Us, The Ride and Calhoun Square. I think my favourite Prince tracks are usually rock songs so I'm biased, but I would love him to do more specifically in that genre.

Totally agree. You are not my "friend" because you threaten my security.
