I doubt Prince cares a whole,whole lot about losing any fan base because he has gained a world wide association of brothers and the more he continues to make that spiritual noise more brothers and sisters will be coming to see his shows. Updates or a new release could be coming any day now.
Realize that if the members do not receive anything else this year the music club is over.

If you dislike the religious content of the e-mail just delete it. The question are not that deeply religious any way.

ps: which is not to say i don't still love and respect prince and wish him well. i do. but, it's time for me to say goodbye to my devotion to his cause. i had a bad experience at the Larry Graham workshop, which was obviously due to my own disappointed expectations of what 'should' have taken place at that event as opposed to what 'did' happen, but in any case i found the whole thing to be truly off-putting. and, it's really changed how i feel about the direction prince has taken and the people he surrounds himself with. it's also changed how i feel about blindly putting money into a 'music club' which may or may not be linked to the JW cause. i'm not canceling my membership or anything, but i guess i'm kinda moving on

IMHO, Prince has consistently proven to be ahead of the curve. I for one am through trying to second guess him and prefer instead to expend my energy trying to keep up.

i don't know AzureStar. i'm still thinking about it. on the one hand i feel connected to prince because i grew up here in minneapolis and always admired him. he used the symbol design i used to doodle when i was a kid, he uses MY chord progressions in a lot of his songs, and i admire his talent, personality and wit. he's always kind of been my hero and his music has helped me a lot over the years.

however, (and believe me i know i'm an utter ass for my vindictive attacks on larry and tina graham), i don't like what seems to have happened at the park. i had a friend who worked there who quit. mind you, i don't know the entire story but from what i've been able to gather the JW religion and those who promulgate it have devoured some of the freedom of thought which used to exist at the park. and to me paisley park used to be ABOUT freedom and unity despite differences. now, it seems that an 'either you're with us, or you're against us' mentality prevails at the park.

so, i don't think i'll attend next year's celebration, or else i'll attend only a couple of nights if that's possible.

as far as my membership, i do want to support prince's freedom fight against the corporate world, but i don't want to inadvertently support the JW cause. i'd rather donate the money to something i believe in. and, i don't wish to be nasty or judgemental about another person's religion, but the teachings of the JWs truly contradict what i hold to be true and what i've learned through personal experience. so, i really don't know right now

IceNine i threw a shameful tantrum and insulted both tina and larry in a report i wrote about larry's workshop in the celebration forum. i did overstate myself and broke the cardinal rule of 'wait a day or two' before actually submitting this, but i meant what i said, without the exception of the personal nastiness i expressed toward them both.

i'm sure they're both fine human beings but they totally freaked me out.

also, i kind of blasted them in another report i wrote about the celebration. i'm not so proud of the remarks i made there, either.
