I don't think Prince would come off as an idiot if he weren't surrounded by so many "yes men," but rather by people who hold objective views. This latest survey is another example of Prince trying to mold the views of his fans (wasn't dubbing them "fams" another example of this?). I hope that Prince reads the responses unfiltered so that he may get some input other than "Yes, Prince. You are so right!"

Sometimes it seems like everyone but Prince is allowed to say what they want and believe what they want. Disagree with him as I may, I actually think it would be sad if he were to compromise his beliefs or curb his tongue because he thought it would cost him his fanbase.

Imagine this may be reality. Prince struggles to feel content in his life for years. He is unable to put out in his music his total ideas on God etc, for fear of not being accepted. Then, he does find an inner sanctuary, feels content, has courage to share a lot of himself. And hardly any fucker can just have the decency, whether they agree with him or not, to respect his views, when he has given a lot of us, countless hours of enjoyable listening. Imagine if that is the case.
