Prince Causes Highest Ratings For SNL Hey I just found out that they are going to rerun the Prince/Steve Martin SNL because during the week 3121 is going to be released because well they are releasing it and because our man had the highest ratings the show has had in three years.
So who still wants to say Prince has no heat? THE CARDINAL HAS SPOKEN!!!

His segment produced high quarter ratings, or the show performed well in the ratings overall?
If the show performed well overall, that's hardly conclusive evidence that it's mostly down to Prince. Wouldn't the credit go to the host, Steve Martin? The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Maybe it will spur some more interest in the SNL performance of Fury and help to get it released onto whatever the next single is? But I agree, some of the credit obviously has to go to the host of the show. No hard feelings.

Nope Rating weren't that high Steve hosted last time A and B Steve has hosted what was that 15 times? Prince has played that show 3 times. I mean that math looks pretty conclusive to me. It looks inconclusive to me either way 'til I see a breakdown of the quarterly ratings.
There are any number of factors that could've contributed to the high number. Assuming that the musical guest is the reason, and even going so far as to state it factually in the title, is pretty baseless. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Not even remotely I work in television and when you seen hoof prints more times than not its horses and not zebra's. You say there are a number of factors not really. Saturday Night Live lives off of two things: The Guest host and the Musical Guest its pretty simple really. Steve Martins ratings haven't been that high when he's had other musical guests. I mean I don't know what else you need but like I said I work in TV the equations are just not that hard. THE CARDINAL HAS SPOKEN!!!

I think that NPGMC sent an email about this stuff right after the show aired. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
