Been watching this alot lately & was wondering ,,,Has anyone ever sang a Prince song on American Idol?

You know how the judges always say, "It's hard to sing a Mariah Carey song"? Well, like her or not, the girl does have an incredible vocal range. I sort of feel this way about Prince. I think his range is unbelieveable and that a lot of his songs would be hard to do well. Having said that, I'd love to see someone pull off "The Beautiful Ones". That song gives me goose bumps.

I was going to start a thread on Prince and the lack of his songs on Reality TV shows. I heard Nothing Compares 2 U and How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore performed but the singers didn't realize it was a Prince song and they did a shitty job too. Other than those, nothing else. Besides the singers will be compared to Prince and they will always fall short so it works in their favor NOT to perform Kiss.
