Totally agree James. But as someone said recently:

So why is it that so many fans r dissing prince on this website?
Why r people on here never happy with the albums by prince, his lack of touring in your area?
were are talkin about the most prolific recording artist of all time, the greatest live performer of all time...people on here r never satasfied..so why keep hanging on 4 your purple rain?????

smile

I hope he comes back to Glasgow, though SECC is a horrible venue, and can't think of likely alternatives.

I thought the SECC was a great venue.
I even offered to run people down to Manchester for the ONA gigs and no one took me up on my offer i ended up going myself. hmph!
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

That was a kind offer ... those who refused must be mental smile

I saw ONA in London. At first the rumour for that tour was that it would include the Armadillo (Clyde Auditorium). Now that would have been phenomenal, and would have fit well with the size of the other gigs on the tour.

Sticking to my guns about SECC though ... dreadful accoustics ... horrible booming sound. BUT Gold was brilliant despite this.

God..shut up about stupid scotland. It's fucking freezing and never stops raining-I bet it's raining right now.The real question on everyone's lips is-will prince play Electric Picnic?Ireland is universally accepted as the best Celtic country going.
If you knew what I was thinking you'd be worried....

Oh, and this reminds me ... Gold tour, the first night at SECC, does NO-ONE else remember Prince taking Mayte's top off? She covered up pretty quickly, and ran backstage for a change, but no-one else seems to remember this. And I'm ALMOST sure I didn't dream it smile

I've started a thread in general discussion that will decide this. All we must do now is wait.

I'm counting on him coming to my home town, as I've never seen him live before.

Rumours are abound of a Hampden show, would be perfect!!

Although I'd absolutely love him to just invite a small crowd through the NPGMC and play all night at the Barralands!
So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

Indeed. I'm replaying it in my mind now. Think this may have been unscripted. Never heard about it happening at any other show.
