Two configurations of 24 (that we know of)

17 (Penetration)
18 (R U Legal Yet?)
19 (A Girl & Her Puppy)
20 (Jailbait)
21-24 (The Dopamine Rush Suite)

Another one that went like this ...
Rootie Kazootie
Space
Guitar Segue
Asswoop (in a trunk)
Ethereal Segue
Parlor Games
Michael Segue
(Got 2) Give It Up
Sonny & Miles Segue
24

There is also a "17" that appeared on the 1-800-NEWFUNK album that doesn't match either of the above two.

Those are the names of the files when I downloaded them years back.

Madhouse "Thirteen PP Mix" is the other one with that line "madhouse 13 rock this mother ..." It was a B-side to the album version of 13.

whenever the universe figures out how to make prince happy with remastering and reissuing his back catalog, i would simply PLOTZ if they released a box set of all his instrumental albums, including 8, 16, 14, xpectation, C-NOTE and even N*E*W*S*. that would be quite yummy.

Actually the correct tracklistings for both versions should look like this...

Madhouse 24 (1988)

side 1:
1. 17 (Penetration)
2. 18 (R U Legal Yet?)
3. 19 (Jailbait)
4. 20 (A Girl & Her Puppy)
side 2: The Dopamine Rush Suite
5. 21 (The Dopamine Rush)
6. 22 (Amsterdam)
7. 23 (Spanish Eros)
8. 24 (Orgasm)

Madhouse 24 (1994)

1. 17
2. Rootie Kazootie
3. Space
4. Guitar Segue
5. Asswoop
6. Ethereal
7. Parlor Games
8. Michael B.
9. (Got 2) Give It Up
10. Sonny T.

For some reason a lot of bootlegs mislabel 19 and 20 from the '88 version
the wrong way round. The Dopamine Rush Suite is the title given to the
whole of side two, but it is actually seperated into 4 tracks (that segue
directly into each other) in much the same way as The Ninth Wave was on
Kate Bush's Hounds Of Love album. 17 on the 1-800-NEW-FUNK album actually
does belong to the 1994 incarnation of 24, it just tends to get missed off
the bootleg releases due to it having been officially released. The track
titled 24 that often appears on bootlegs of this version of the album is
a fake addition (it's actually just an untitled instrumental from many
years earlier that doesn't actually belong there). The fact that there is
no track called 24 on this album, and that if you numbered the tracks like
the other Madhouse albums it would be either 22 or 26 (depending on whether
you count the segues or not) has always made me suspect that this is not
a finished sequence.

The Dopamine Rush Suite is actually a repeat of the same basic tracks played back to back 4 times. Prince put different music over each one, but it was created that way on purpose.

It is supposed to be 4 seperate tracks, with one linking idea. This WAS going to be side B, but that was back when the phrase "side B" meant something!
The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/
