Prince is a HUGE boxing fan!

I have no proof of this, but I know that he LOVES boxing and that he laid $15.00 on the line when he bet on the Tyson / Lewis fight! He bet on Lewis by late-round stoppage and made a hefty profit of $7.50, so he left the bookie shop with $22.50 burning a hole in his pocket and proceeded to hit the liquor store and buy his entire crew a round of 40-ounce malt liquor beverages.

And they say the man doesn't have a heart.

U heard that Lewis squashed the Kleistchko (sp?) fight? Lewis is terrified of him, and who can blame him? I think that big Russian would beat the hell out of him, or anybody else for that matter. He IS the real deal.

Russian only looks tough cause he ain't fought Lewis yet. There's no money in fighting him quite yet, nobody knows who he is. Let him fight a few more bums to build his name up in the American spotlight then we'll have something.

That is basically what Lewis said... Lewis also said that he wasn't interested in fighting him because it would be too easy... he would knock him out quickly.

Wladamir Klitschko put a hell of a beating on Ray Mercer last week though... but... I still think that Lewis would prevail in a fight against Wladamir and would CERTAINLY beat Vitali to death.

The fight I am waiting for right now is the Moseley/Forrest rematch!!!

I heard Prince likes to bet on the ponies too.

When the jockeys are out on the track he creeps into the changerooms and steals their clothes. smile

I Agree,in the Mid 60's through late 80's Heavyweight Division Ruled.then from 85-90 Middleweight.Mike Tyson was doing His thing as was Holyfield but overall the Heavyweight Division has gone done hill.Boxing is still a Sort after Sport when it's done Right.one thing though: Don King is still Standing after all of these Years.Faces come&Go but Don King is still saying Only in America after all of these Years.

Both of you guys are right! Boxing is the BEST sport in the world... when the judges are only paid their fee for judging.

The heavyweight division is a bit soft now, but there is some talent there:

Lennox Lewis
Wladamir Klitschko
Chris Byrd
Evander Holyfield
Jameel McCline
Kirk Johnson
Vitali Klitschko
David Tua
Hasim Rahman (?)
Mike Tyson (?)

Clearly, these guys are not as great as Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Marciano, Holmes, Louis, etc. but they are pretty good fighters. In his prime, I would have put Evander Holyfield against these guys due to his IMMENSE chin and even bigger heart.

Do you remember those damned-near epic battles between Evander Holyfield and Riddick Bowe? Those were WARS!

If you are a fan, the best boxing is in the lower divisions.

Guys like these are why I love boxing:

Bernard Hopkins
Ricardo Lopez!
Marco Antonio Barrera
Winky Wright
Joe Calzaghe
Roy Jones
Oscar De La Hoya
Felix Trinidad (retired currently)
Kostya Tszyu
Micky Ward
Arturo Gatti
Leonard Dorin
Raul Balbi
Jose Luis Castillo
Acelino Freitas
Stevie Forbes
Joel Cassamayor
Manny Pacquiao
Tim Austin
Pongsaklek Wonjongkam

I actually really like Sugar Shane and I hope that he wins... I picked him in the first fight but he didn't have what it took that night and was beaten very badly... I didn't see anything in that fight that made me believe that it will go any differently this time...

Come on, Shane!!! I hope you can do it!

Thanks for your support, Batty!

Don't call me Batty.

At any rate, I don't watch enough boxing to know. I only ever watched Oscar de la Hoya rolleyes And that wasn't for his boxing skills...

I'd much prefer a night of college basketball, or baseball.
Or my newest love, soccer!

But yeah, go Moseley!

Except when it sucks or is obviously fixed. then nothing is a bigger rip off; but I agree, when you get a really GOOD fight (DeLahoya - Moseley or Hagler - Leonard) it really is a compelling sport, as brutal as it may be. I have tremendous respect for anyone with the stones to get in a ring with the whole world watching and face off 1 on 1.

Moseley will win Saturday...when is De Lahoya vs. Vargas? I think FV will beat him senseless.

Nope... not Oceana, but it was certainly easier to type Batty, than BattierBeMyDaddy... kinda like when people call me Icey or Ice... you get the picture.

But... I am oh, so sorry to have offended you and I will not let it happen again, Ms. BattierBeMyDaddy.
