well I'm a huge Outkast fan, and I have all thier albums and I know for a FACT that Prince is a HUGE influce for Dre, also Pharrell's greatest influnce is Prince. | |

Its ok - didnt honestly think it would matter where I put it - it was about the main guy after all??? just wanted to discuss princes influences eg Andre 3000....phew wont do that again eh? never mind..I know for next time

I Have just 2 of his albums - and there is enough there to tell me there is a definate influence..Oh and hes gorgeous - just like Prince...

André is definately influenced. I don't exactly know what you're after here, but it's pretty well documented that Prince is a musical Father Figure to him. Does that help? Autopen Signature |

But to answer your question, Andre3000 is extremely and famously influenced by Prince. Prince is his model, just like JB and Hendrix are two of Prince's models. Not only are they influenced by these men, they outright copy the style as an homage. Andre3000 has done that with Prince and thanked him many times. He has talked about Prince's impact on his musical development and even introduced him when he was enthroned in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. | |

If he was influenced, he should have given a better speech at the hall of fame introduction. Alicia Keys did a great speech, so much so that Prince used the clip to open the Musicology tour. What did Andre 3000 say about Prince that was so memorable...?....?...? my point exactly. If I was introducing Prince I'd be far more articulate | |
