Stop frontin', ya'll know B,L&B is a great song!

All I've heard is how bad or uninspired Beautiful,Loved& Blessed is. Some P fans are so ridiculously critical that they don't know a great song when they hear it.
This is a great mid-tempo R&B song, with a memorable hook, and thoughtful lyrics.
This is one of Prince's most well written songs in recent memory, and should be recognized as such.
If this song was done by Mary J. Blige and R. Kelly, you wouldn't be able to turn on the radio (or BET for that matter) without hearing it.

So quit trying to be all cute and shit and just appreciate a helluva song.

If the song was done by Mary J. Blige, I'd be listening to her, and, therefore, wouldn't hate it. Tamar's voice is so ordinary, I feel like I'm listening to a deodorant ad.

It's a cute song. And I agree if Mary J. Blah was the one singing it we'd be be hearing the damn thing 30 times a day. Not to mention it's a better song that that gawd awful song about "dancerie's" she did a couple years back.

Oh my God...give me a break can Mary J Bliege even sing? I don't think I am going too far out on a limb in saying that Tamar sings much better than Mary J Bliege and that is not too say Tamar has a great voice. Get my drift!

I never liked her for some reason. She is talented, but to me it always sounds like she's screamin' instead of singing wink .

I agree!

I really like the song....At first I thought it sounded sort of average, but then I listened to the lyrics and found the hook in the chorus. It's a very uplifting and positive song, the kind of tune to get you out of bed happily in the morning. It sounds great, and I love the funk at the end.

Can't wait for 3121!

Um. You're wrong. Mary J. has a little old something called PERSONALITY. Tamar may hit more right notes, but that's a small fraction of what makes art connect.

Mary is hit or miss...She was off key at the Grammy's, but earlier this year she did a pretty good rendition of "One" with Bono and Edge on the Katrina Telethon...The thing with Mary is she has an unpolished vocal style that can be refreshing at times..She's not technically great...But she feels it...

You mean you don't like the chorus or do you? The keyboard lick (or is a drum machine?) behind it is killer!

I feel BL&B is a good song. I don't think its a hit single but I don't think that is Prince's intention. This is just a preamble to the second single & her cd. This is just a song to get us to notice her. To get Prince fans to notice her. So when whatever is the second single is released she won't be a complete unknown. Plus this all part of the 3121 promo & the build-up to the tour which I'm assuming she will play a prominent part in.
