Prince's best and worst video? Okay I know that the Purple One has many videos, but if you could give me just two-which one's would you pick? One bad and one good  . I 'm gonna say that in my opinion, the worst video was "Alphabet St" (yeah the images were beautiful, but I just generally disliked the song). "Diamonds and Pearls" gets my vote for his best video. It's just a beautiful video and I loved his usage of children in it. So, what's ur picks?  . | |

Damm I never saw "Scandalous", got to put my hands on it 
My fav video, may be strange, but it's "Dolphin", I love watching Micheal B. playing drums over the bed along with MrHayes playings keys... I love also the concept of one long camera shot. I love the light on the guitar, I also love that beautiful guitar. How can I forget Mayte dancing around ? I like the end also, you feel a litle bit bad about the situation... So many original ideas in this video, my fav one. My worst one, I don't know it's hard to tell, maybe "Partyman", because I never know if everybody is dead or sleeping at the end

Partyman (Extended Version) Cream (the female dancers in this are so hot) Kiss (simple and cool; I like when he screams at Wendy) Girls & Boys (fun and b&w--bonus) Batdance (Awesome cheesiness, plus Prince looks cool in his half Batman/half Joker getup) U Got the Look (because I love SOTT--this one used the live stage setup--and Sheena Easton was hot) Worst: Sign O the Times (such a boring video for a great song) When 2 R in Love (similar to SOTT as I remember) I Would Die 4 U (hate, hate, hate this--the worst part is when everyone dances around the stage) Scandalous (don't like the song, don't like the video--I feel like we're watching Prince get himself off) Betcha by Golly Wow | |

I actually think the "SOTT" video is brilliant. Sure, it looks like a PowerPoint presentation but it focuses your attention on the lyrics.
For me Prince has never been a video artist, the music always takes centre stage and the videos only distract. If I'm to pick best and worst ones though, I'd go for these... Best: "SOTT" "I Wish U Heaven" (has a kind of a heavenly glow about it!) "Glam Slam" (made me wish I'd had the chance of seeing a Lovesexy show) "Kiss" (I just love Wendy's face when she laughs at the end) Worst: "When 2 R In Love" "7" (hate the song, hate the video) "Alphabet Street" | |
