Baseball sucks for a number of reasons (not all of them I will get into here).
The owners suck. The players suck. The games suck, because the players are FRAUDS. Of the 3 major sports baseball is the least marketing savvy, and has the greediest athletes. And they'll (both the owners and players) shoot themselves in the foot yet AGAIN when they go on strike. Let them drag themselves and the game into the gutter, while flipping the bird to their fans. They deserve the fallout. They just better hope they can survive all the horrors that steroid use potentially brings - and it ain't pretty. MLB players. MLB owners. MLB commisioner. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I Love Baseball&think it's the Greatest Sport Ever.Madd Props to Jackie Robinson&The Negro League.but the Game has gotten So watered down with all Home Runs&weak 2nd-tier Pitching drawn in Fences.Owners are out of touch&Players aren't Hungry enough to Win it all.but thank goodness for the Baddest Player in the Game Barry Bonds.Bonds is the baddest Cat.He is to Baseball what Shaq is to BasketBall what the Williams Sisters are to Tennis what Tiger Woods is to Golf.Barry Bonds&My Yankees keep my interests. mistermaxxx

why should anyone like baseball when it is apparent most of the damn players don't like the sport, just the paychecks?

Why do you Americans call it baseball??
You don't hit the ball with a base! The ball is not shaped like a base! It doesn't make any sense! It should be called "batball" or "snoozefest" or "drunks convention."

Actually I used to be a baseball fan right up until the end of last season. I don't have any interest in it this season. And maybe never again. MLB should be embarrassed at what the game has become. Players are juiced - not the baseball. That's why the ball is flying out of stadiums and ballparks at an unreal rate over the past 5 years.
Is it a coincidence that 3 of the top power hitters in baseball during the last half decade are physically some of the biggest players, and these same players weren't nearly as big as they are over that span? Steroids make you become bigger. With Jose Canseco's admission that many players take steroids is it a surprise that he was one of the (physically) biggest players and half of the "Bash Brothers" from Oakland (along with McGwire). Do you think it was a shock that reporters found a supplement on top of McGwire's locker (during the 1998 season) that is banned in the Olympics? Is it a shock that Bonds has admitted to taking this banned (in the Olympics) supplement within the past 24 hours. Have you ever compared the pictures of Bonds'/McGwire's/Sosa's during their younger years to their physiques today? Do you think it's normal that these players are better power hitters in their later years than they were in their (age-wise) prime? It could be for some, but definitely not for most. Granted, Sosa isn't in his late 30s (if I'm not mistaken), but when players who have been in the game that long gain that much weight they don't usually become better power hitters. And yes, I do know that McGwire wasn't always as physically big as he became in the mid to late 90s, although he was a power hitter from the beginning of his career. I also know that he never approached the type of home run numbers he got late in his career before that. And these players are not just better power hitters now, they're MUCH, MUCH better. I don't believe the pitching is as bad as they once said - although it still could be a bit inferior to what it was. Is the home run hitting boom over the last several years just a coincidence after the steroid revelation (a revelation that didn't shock anyone)? Why did Sammy Sosa go ballistic and throw a expletive tirade when a baseball beat writer asked him to take a steroid test last week after saying he'd be willing to take one? Why would Barry Bonds say that random testing is an invasion of privacy if he has nothing to hide? Why would anyone be against steroid tests if they have nothing to hide? They're (all those baseball players who take steroids) THE biggest frauds in sports. MLB doesn't test for steroids. The NBA and NFL do. MLB has no integrity for a number of reasons. They've turned the game into an inauthentic exhibition. And that's just the surface of why I don't like MLB anymore. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

all Strong Solid Points.I guess the Kid in Me still Loves baseball&What Jackie Robinson meant to My Family back in the day.not to mention I collected a ton of Baseball Cards.Barry Bonds is a Great Player&was 30-30 when it was legit.Sammy Sosa is 33 in America probably 53 elsewhere??when it comes to His Age there is a Running Bet who is Older out of Him&Roberto Duran??All major SPorts to Me though are down overall.NFL Parity&still a lack of Black Coaches.NBA:only a few Teams worthy of watching. My Lakers Rule&shall as long as the Big Toe Can Go? I Like the Knicks in the East but the East doesn't Count overall IMHO.The NBA has done a Great Job at Marketing but only Players&Not Teams.Miss the Laker&Celtic Battles.no such Battles in today's Sports overall.but again I Enjoyed your Post Fully You Nailed it Man.Is it a coincidence that 3 of the top power hitters in baseball during the last half decade are physically some of the biggest players, and these same players weren't nearly as big as they are over that span?
