I dunno.. there are worse songs in the world, but i can't really say i'm too amused with BLB. It has the lamest hiphop beat i've heard in a long while, uninspired sounds, and those religious overtones again. I do like the funky stuff near the end, even though it's all rather run of the mill.. It's probably going to be the 1 song i'm going to skip all the time on 3121 | |

after seeing her live, i'm excited to hear tamar's album...but i'm just not into this song. it's okay, but it doesn't do anything for me one way or another. if it wasn't for prince's involvement, it would be off my radar altogether. | |

This is a great mid-tempo R&B song, with a memorable hook, and thoughtful lyrics. This is one of Prince's most well written songs in recent memory, and should be recognized as such. If this song was done by Mary J. Blige and R. Kelly, you wouldn't be able to turn on the radio (or BET for that matter) without hearing it. So quit trying to be all cute and shit and just appreciate a helluva song. If the song was done by Mary J. Blige, I'd be listening to her, and, therefore, wouldn't hate it. Tamar's voice is so ordinary, I feel like I'm listening to a deodorant ad. 
I'm not sure that I like BL&B. Although, I did say the same thing for Te Amo Corazon, and now I like it. I think it's because I don't really like slow songs in general unless I listen to them a few times. | |
