Cinnamon Girl

I love the song and the video...but I didn't quite understand what was going on in it. Can someone please explain the video to me. I'm very interested.

He's trying to say not all Muslims should be accounted for 9/11

He's saying that after 9/11 muslim/arabic looking people were put in the same boat as the terrorists and treated suspiciously. This cycle of paranoia and hatred itself causes the girl to contemplate becoming a suicide bomber, along the lines of 'well everyone already thinks it anyway'. You can read it as she really was going to set off a bomb and imagines the destruction, and then chooses not to, or it's all a bit of a dream sequence hence the dreamy visuals.

Great song, great lyrics, great music, fantastic videoclip, deep message.
Don´t know why this song gets so much hate.

Could be a bit longer though...I always wait for a guitar solo toward the end but it doesn´t happen.

It´s simple and good.Reminds a bit of Dolphin in a good way even though it´s totally different.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

You know I never really got why they banned the video. In my opinion, it is no where near as violent as the everyday stuff that is shown on TV. Most of this stuff is garbage, but something as though provoking as "Cinnamon Girl" gets banned. Isn't that a shame? wink

I don't think in the end it actually did get 'banned'. They simply didn't bother to add it to their playlists. There's a subtle difference, but with the same result!
