Do you think Prince is vulnarable? Would you say that Prince is vulnarable emotionally? Of course we all are, but some of us more, others less. I was just wondering reading the Observer article where it said:

I think when you listen to some of his songs you realise just how insecure he is.
I think a good few of his ballads hint at this. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I think he is more vulnerable and human than many of us imagine.There's a lot of bravado to his stage persona but there have been times when his vulnerability has appeared almost transparent to me.Also,in Alan Leeds interview he mentioned a few things that he'd experienced first hand that showed Prince's vulnerability. I reckon he's still pretty insecure, although I do believe he has found some of the answers over the years that he was searching for.
I suppose it's possible that his insecurity may be responsible for his immense talent, and his stage persona and "weird" antics are probably his way of keeping others from discovering how he really feels. And all of this just adds to the mystery of the man I guess. So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young? | |
