Reading the reports made me wonder if he´s truly left Prince´s camp....he did a great job and has been around for how long, almost ten years now ?

Plus he had a lot of style...unlike most of his other technicians he never fucked up and had a lot of personality and "stage presence"...

So, does anybody know more ?

I myself don't know for sure whether or not Takumi is gone, but I do recall hearing, in the last year or year and a half or so, that he was engaged. If the engagement was true, maybe after marrying he decided to settle down a bit and not be on the road so much/at Prince's beck and call all the time - i.e. Takumi quit, and Prince got another guitar tech? Like I said, I'm only speculating but it would make sense to me.

I agree that Takumi was a cool guy and did his job very well.

He is not the guitar tech for this mini-tour and he was nowhere to be seen at Paisley Park on Saturday so it *appears* he may be gone. It's amazing he lasted as long as he did. I read that Prince had gone through something crazy like 17 guitar techs in the 4 years previous to Takumi.

I´ve only had extremely pleasant talks and encounters with Takumi and his cool and friendly attitude will for sure be missed.

no wonder Princ eis throwing guitars around and his tone has fallen a bit
