What's The First Prince Album U Bought? The first Prince album that I ever bought was "1999" even though I became a fan after hearing "Do Me Baby." "1999" had everything-every song was great, the artwork was beautiful and the pics inside were classic. So, what was the first Prince album that U ever purchased?  .

Graffiti Bridge on tape. It was on a bargain pin and had been removed from sales, as a small piece of the case was clipped away, but I got for the price of a peanut. Didn't get into it until somewhat later. | |

Now that's a mom and b'day worth having - best I got was Lovesexy on CD for my 17th from my Mum (saved me having to buy it myself - not that I think I would have been shy about it). It was the 1st P CD that I owned (all the previous albums were on vinyl), which was xciting in itself. "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

It was the 1st P CD that I owned (all the previous albums were on vinyl), which was xciting in itself. i remember being so geeked about lovesexy coming out that it didn't even occur to me that he was naked on the cover, or that it could possibly be seen as provocative. i just ran in the wrecka stow, grabbed the vinyl off the new releases shelf, plunked my money down and ran back home, waving that sucker in the air like my freak flag of the week. 
my first prince *CD* was 'sign o the times'. in fact, it was one of the first CDs i ever owned in general. and of course, i still have it, almost 20 years later. | |
