Prince "sounds" better live with Tamar and twins

I'm a long time org reader but a new poster. I've also been listening to Prince since '81, so don't call me a newbie. I've always thought Prince has needed some decent female background vocalist in his live shows, which he hasn't really had at the 6 concerts I've been to and the numerous other live performances I've seen or heard. The SNL performance and the Brit Awards with Tamar and the twins really give him that nice female background that I think he's been missin'. Yay or nay?

Tamar and the Twins have definitely added some spice to his live performance. I like their addition very much.

The Twins add something but its certainly not anything vocally as they did lead vocals on a song yesterday and they were well below average singers.

As long as they stay in tune, it don't matter that much. besides, reports i've read on these recent shows all seem to say Tamar has a great voice anyway.

I'm just glad the horns appear to be getting a rest. smile

Yeah but the sampled horns from the keys are almost worse.

Backing vocals is good addition yeah. Something he's lacked since Marva King really. Rhonda never really made herself audible.
