I'm a member of a site devoted to UNC basketball and somebody is guaranteed to start an "I Love This Team" thread every other day. And you know what, those posts go platinum without fail because the fans make it a point to show their appreciation at every opportunity. I love that.

For me, it's not about "S/he knows how I feel, I'm on this site aren't I?." It's about me stepping up whenever the chance presents itself and saying to folks who've postively contributed to my life, "In this world of crap, you make things seem better. I appreciate that."
