I'm i just slow or? Does anybody else realize that Prince played "Satisfied" from 3121 back at the NAACP awards... just wondering. cause i wasnt on the org at the time. but i dont see anybody taking about satified when they talk about the song they've heard so far from 3121 | |

Yep. I was a tease of what seems like a great sexy ballad. And he sang it so well, I mean he really put his soul into that song, dug down deep to get those notes.. scrunching his face all up and shit.. brother was tearing it up...
Back then we didn't know what the hell the 3121 thing was. Folks were saying it referred to something in Bible.. hell, it probably does. But at least I didn't know it was going to be an album at that point. If there are other songs like that on the album, it's gonna be slamming! Come here, babe.. yeah... | |

Satisfied was discussed at the same time as the whole performance first aired, so that is why it hasn't been discussed much here recently.
The interesting thing for me is that Prince seems to have had the concept for a 3121 album and at least one song (satisfied) as far back as the start of last year. Yet he sat on it for all that time, for who knows what purpose? The 3121 jacket from that performance is essentially the same as on the cover for the 3121 album - except the 2 is very slightly different, don't know why. | |

I remember when he sang that song on the NAACP awards, later soon after that performance, the actual studio version was played on a franch radio station, their was an orger who heard the song, but the thread was locked..(i believe)
They said (As far as i can remember) "it was the most beautiful thing they heard, very blues'y, but is the twin to "adore"....." Keenmeister |

Same kind of thing when he was singing life Of The Party when he was touring Hawaii. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
