Hey, I just saw a bootleg on youtube of Prince in england, it was great but I was willing to let prince slide with the fib of never touring again but I know for a fact he stated he would no longer play the old songs live, not that I mind it, but Jay Leno asked him "this isn't a cher last time is it?" Well I guess it was. At any rate cool boot, Wendy did fine and Prince is as good as ever.

Purple Rain and Let's Go Crazy opened the door showing many of us who the musician Prince was. Just because he plays those songs doesn't mean he's gonna repeat an 'all hits' show. Maybe he played them just to give us a taste of what brought many of us to him in the first place. Those songs are legendary soul awakeners.

Im at a college comp, cant do it at home either. But gosh, they got the michael, james brown, Prince show in 83. seen it for the first time, funny as hell, also got clips of various Prince vids, great!

Prince also claimed he was retiring in the past, I doubt that many people would go, 'Well, I'd love to hear some more stuff from Prince, but at least he didn't go back on his word...'

You could possibly argue that the 2004ever tour was the last time he was gonna play certain hits - but since that tour didn't hit Europe, until it does the tour isn't over and he's allowed to play hits over here still but not in the USA!

Though of course it is unlikely he will stick to that decision. But hey, many artists have gone back on claims it was 'their last tour' and stuff. I once heard a story about someone asking a member of the Eagles if they would ever tour together again. His response was 'when hell freezes over!' But in fact they did tour together and called it 'the hell freezes over tour!'.
