Has Prince had a concert where U live? You know I just saw another Orger post where they live and we live in the same state. I'm originally from Michigan, but live in Oklahoma. I've seen Prince in concert here once(Musicology tour) and I was on  for awhile after that.
Has Prince ever played where you live? Have you ever had to travel to see HisRoyalBadness?

.nope. Next question-In Mpls are there everyday references to Prince such as at venues or in the local media? U would think that since he is originally from there that he would somehow be mentioned alot.  .

.prince gets mentioned here moderately often...mostly when he's about to do a new project or do a concert here (like right now). some local singers/musical acts get compared to 'im at times by some of the local news media, but all of it's not a daily occurrence. for me, i only hear folks talking about prince if i'm wearing one of my prince shirts on any given day and someone sees my shirt. i mostly hear "my [insert random relative/friend here] went to school with 'im!"-type stuff, or "you like prince? alright, cool..." nothing juicy. clarify that edit [Edited 2/24/06 18:25pm] | |

I'm originally from Michigan so I'd love to be up north with the snow right now. How is Mpls as a city? Are the people nice? or is it just the typical city atmosphere? Thanks for sharing .

minneapolis is a fun place to live overall--it has its downsides (high cost of living, the weather's fucked up at times, the crime rate here's a bit higher than back home) but for the most part it's not too bad a town. the folks up here are nice--i've met some awesome people, along with some not-so-awesome people while being up here. Thanks for sharing

Nope, never. He's been to Vancouver, which is about 5 hours away. Who knows? One day he might show up around these parts. Bowie's played here, and Motley Crue are here soon, so maybe.  "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |
