Would you still listen to prince?

Would you still listen to prince if his name would never be on the news again? I've got that feeling that some of you guys have a problem with the fact that prince is no more in the top ten.

Only those that are into Prince for reasons other than music are concerned with the top 10. If you truly love the great work that he does, you cant care where he charts. He doesnt care. And this is what keeps him free to create. Prince started off as an underground sensation and readopts the role with grace

"He doesn't care." Right, so Rave was not at all meant to once again broaden his appeal commercially? He never said Emancipation had at least 18 hit singles on it? Nice bit of revisionist history.

I will always have Prince music in my life. The pop charts have reached an all time LOW for talent. I applaud Prince for steering clear of that mess.

I would love to see his name never mentioned again in the news. The media does not report things accurately, so whenever they mention his name, it's done in a derogatory manner making him out to be an idiot. Not to say that I wouldn't like to see him perform on tv or things like that, but if the media never mentioned him again, that would be fine by me

Just thought I'd say that eye don't care where Prince is news wise or chart wise. here in da UK we hear nothing of him anymore anyway. It is his music eye am in love wit. An he looks pretty fine 2. Da charts have some absolutely awful music and R no measure of talent, just popularity, and I'm only 19 so eye am suppose 2 be well in2 the charts. Prince exceeds any chart. Love and peace 2 U all.

CAVEAT: This is only my opinion.

Anyone who listens to someone simply because other people talk about him/her/them or they are reported in the news is a mindless sheep who deserves to be force-fed Britney Spears and N-Sync records 28 hours per day, 372 days per year.

I don't care if he ever had another hit, I've loved his music my entire life and will never stop loving it. I'd listen to Prince anyday compared to the junk that actually charts on radio stations nowadays!smile I love real, bonafide music, not Britney Spearsish sound alike pop!! So, If the Press never covers him again, it won't bother me!!

I would always listen to Prince but he's so wonderful and talented that he should allow the public more exposure to his music. I don't want him to fade into the moonlight so to speak as you all know that by now from my numerous postings. I've been hearing him a lot lately and that makes me smile. I wish Prince Would CARE! I wish he would get totally Wild again. I wish he would get the Revolution back if only for 1 night. I wish he would make more movies. I know I'm greedy and want a lot from him but he's really the best and it just isn't fair that he's not sharing his music with more people so that he's the hottest thrill on t.v. or radio. I want those splits and I want him showing us that famous Ass again and bragging about it. I don't want him to RELAX so much I want him to give us more SHOWS. I want it ALL! Why does he want to be so quiet? I want him to Blow Our minds. Blow us away! Give us everything he has! I miss seeing his pictures in Rolling Stone, Black Beat, everything!!! I want him to do MTV again. I want that Acoustic Show he promised a long time ago. Oh Prince am I gonna kick your Ass! I'll teach you to Work that Body!!! Work it Right!!!

ofcorse if he continue's creating amazing songs.if he starts putting out weak music then eye stop.eye don't care about top 10 or hits.it would be nice yes .just 2 let the big masses see how great he still is.but he's not a comercial artist anymore .he's a legend .like all other artists do u see them on the top 10 or do they stil have hits no.they are behind all this.he's making music with his old time favorite artist and musicians.who he once was a fam 2.what more is there 2 wish 4.who says he's music is not selling anymore.who knows how many copy's that been sold with the internet.or how many songs are getting downloaded everyday.they should make a list about that.most people don't bye there cd's no more in stores.they copie or download.exept 4 d.j's like me .

Prince is never in the news these days and I really think that is irrelevent, you can't groove 2 a newspaper clipping!I sometimes think it would be nice for him to get some positive press, but is nice being a member of the 'elite' group that still know what Prince has always been about-fantastic music

GREAT TOPIC!!!

I 4 1 became into Prince music only LAST YEAR(2001) after picking up the 1st P's LP I bought which is 'RABE' redface
biggrin :p LOL and unlike most of ya'll I LOVED THAT LP but after I picked up his The hits/b-sides I became more intersted on his early stuff.

Most of you guys who spent 20/15 yrs as fans experienced the highlight times of P's, as 4 me I was a CHILD in those days so I didn't care then. Why should I care now??

Besides, being The underground Prince is part of his appeal and that make him intersting. But what if he pulled Alicia Keys wink?? Well I know that as 4 'US' it ain't a problem at all but as 4 the rest of the world it is. So yeah I'm listening to him despite the fact that he's already (banished) in this so called music biz. I would love him to appear so he can fix this messed up music biz but hey they don't want him and its their lost!!!
