Same here.

What was the film that featured this, I'm buggered if I can remember!

I'm sure that the part I mentioned (more specifically, "O Fortuna) has been in a number of films... I just don't know any of them...

WONDERFUL IDEA!

4 or 5 Prince songs, hmmm?

(1) The Cross- this song has gotten me through plenty of difficult times, reminding me of what is truly important and removing me of the subjectivity of my situation and that it will all turn out fine in the end.

(2) Anna Stesia- This has a similar, but more specific, effect. It reminds me not to look for solace and comfort in the love of a woman, but in the love of God. When I feel as if I'm at my lowest moment in terms of love, this song is a trustworthy source of emotional encouragment.

(3) Something in the Water (Does Not Compute)- This song kind of envelops a number of my own personal issues, such as feelings of inadequacy and undesirability. The pain in his screaming is something that is so remarkably visceral and guttural but also remarkably familiar.

(4) Love...Thy Will Be Done- This song also reminds me to place my utmost trust in what I know to be worthwhile and good- love and God.

That's pretty sick that one culture feels they have the right to control another. I'm glad that we don't do anything like that today. Everyone knows Western culture is the best possible so they all just copy it and find Jesus and what not. It's beautiful now that there's so much global peace.

Soundtrack of my life? Hmmm, good question.

It would have 2 b the sound of laughter, or of a tear dropping on2 someone's cheek. Imagine if u could hear the sound of a teardrop falling! Imagine if that could b captured on tape. Or if u could actually hear muscles contort during orgasm. The human body is a wonderful thang, yall. wink

The Beautiful Ones... The love of my life left this on my voicemail one night late.. and when i got the message all i heard was prince saying Do you want him.. or do you want me.. cause i want you!!! It was very romantic...

Also Adore.. My baby played that for me and told me that is exactly how he felt about me..
So whenever i hear them, i am brought back to that time with him and he automatically pops in my head!

anna stesia
sometimes it snows in april
starfish & coffee

these are not necessarily my favorite prince songs, but they are the most appropriate songs to fit my life so far. I'm sure in another year this will all have changed...well, except for the first three.

excellent thread!

wow..just 4 or 5. damn near impossible but here goes...

1.must be something in the water (does not compute)
i've felt like this during a few relationships. every
word P says hits me close to the vest,so to speak!
2.how come u don't call me anymore...again...too personal
and every word and feeling P expresses...gets me deep.
3.when you were mine...i've done this tune with a few
musical friends and it such a BAD ass tune...it makes me
remember previous relationships...but the song so cool
i can never feel bad singing this!

4.damn U...don't cha juts hate it when you digs somebody
so much U hate yourself?

5.dirty mind...being a gemini like Prince i always thought
most of us have 2 sides-good and bad...or naughty and nice.
dirty mind ..yep i think one side of me battles this
side every day...

now if i could pick a 6th one it would be
"ANNA STESia...this one is DOWNright beautiful and its
my spiritual side...every note and lyric...great ass
song MR. P!!! (nice choices Moonmeam!!!
