If you can find Prince's new video in between repeats (ad nauseum) of Next, Date my Daughter, Cribs, Pimp my Ride, The Gauntlet, Real World, Made, etc, (and on VH1 there's surreal house, celebrity fit club...etc...)...
my point is, for a channel whose letters mean Music Television Video, and Video Hits 1, they just don't play videos with the frequency that they used to. So to complain that they don't play Black Sweat or Te Amo Corazon...well...they hardly play any videos, period. I think that besides the songs being played on radio and in the clubs, sales and how ofter YOU listen to it will decide how successful and of Prince's future cd's will be

I know, what a joke the whole MTV/VH1 thing has become. I gave up on them years ago when flicking through about 4 or 5 of their sub-channels, all I had was the type of programming you mention. At least VH1 in the US showed the RRHOF ceremony, but in the UK they didn't even bother with that, even though it honoured George Harrison. As they say, it used to be about the music, man!

I've got recordings of MTV and VH1 from the late 80s and wow what a difference. Presenters that new how to present, and loads of music videos!!! They also used to have programs like New Visions here on VH1 which featured guest artists like Santa na and Miles Davis performing and presenting their fav videos . In fact, Miles spent a good part of the show talking about Prince! Also got to see videos from the likes of Robert Fripp, Al Di Meola, Stanley Jordan, Jarrett....all gone now!!!

I totally agree, I've been wasting hours of my precious time watching utter crap in the hopes of catching the new videos,I'm driving my family mad!The closest I've got is on MTV Base when a clip came on of Black Sweat and a voiceover saying that they'd be playing it all this week...liars!

Has anyone seen Black Sweat on these two channels yet?

I saw BS on MTV last night at around 2am. I've heard it for the 2nd time and I love it! Looks like Prince is doing some heavy thizzing in the video

You can generally catch Black Sweat and Te Amo Corazon during either Fresh or Jump Start on VH-1. I have yet to see either video on MTV.

I've seen Black Sweat every day on MTV, especially in the morning.
I've seen it during the early morning hours b/t 4am & 10 am hour at least 4 times!
I haven't seen Te am corazon anymore, but when it was released in december it was played out on vh1, vh1 soul, and Bet started showing it in January, now Black Sweat is being played as a vh1 soul spotlight, vh1, bet, and mtv often.

They can't show it all the time, because Vh1 and Mtv don't show videos all day, so they squeeze all their vides b/t 3am and 11am in the morning.

I bet you'll see it if you watch.

I see the video for BS almost everytime i tune to MTV Hits or VH1 Soul.

These two channels only play music videos.I have comcast digital cable.

Nothings been greater than seeing Prince on MTV AND VH1 EVERYDAY. I see that video at least twice a day. Once on MTV and once on VH1. I might have seen it 3 times one day last week. It makes me get up in the mornings. Sometimes I predict seeing it and then Prince comes gliding through the screen. Now we've got to get the radio to see the light.

For those who haven't seen the video, watch MTV between 3 or 4am to 10am and VH1 from 3 or 4am to 11am.

Both are pretty wack. I always switch of after the first ad break, which is normally around 2 minutes.

Well, I haven't seen any of them on MTV in my country. I don't understand why they never show any Prince video.. that's bad! I want VH-1=better, much more variety!
