TEMPTATION appreciation I had a listen back to ATWIAD and had my mind blown by TEMPTATION ./..
that song is awesum ,,PRINCES vocal capabilities are incredible in this song ..' i get tingles up the spine whenever i hear him screaming in that song ,,as far as wicked vocal displays go ,the only other song it compares to is DARLING NIKKI PRINCE is a god among men!!! | |

Yeah, cool guitar, and Princely screaming...
But somehow I just don't like the tune. There's something about the "Around the World" album that feels really melancholy to me. I think it's "Condition of the Heart"..It's a really slow-paced tune and truly heartwrenching. It's beautiful in it's own way, but hard for me to listen to. "Tamborine" is one of the coolest tracks on the album. Nasty. | |

Listening to the beginning of the cut when it first came out was the only thing on the album that sounded like a follow-up to Purple Rain. The song is o.k. I mainly dig it for the guitar. BUT, he could have put a little more effort into the song. It has a throwaway filler vibe about it to me. Doesn't sound like he was truly commited to it. If he was passionate about the cut like say, Darling Nikki, then it would have been a different story. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

NO WAY !! i just cut the ending off when im listening to it ,,that song is an incredible display of princes vocal abilities ...nothing compares to the bit where he screams aftr singing purple electricity whenevr our bodies touch

I agree, and its seems so out of place on this album. everything is kinda colorful, arty and beetlesque, then....this. The song's great, but i agree the ending is scary and dorky at the same time. Great song, one of my favs from that album, was listening to it yesterday and I kept playing it over and over. The ending is a little weird, but that's Prince and we all love him for being the way he is | |
