I would not trade Prince's career output (the highs, lows and adventures) with any other musical artist. Great music is not made on an assembly line. Seriously. It's made under a waterfall, atop a rainbow tree. Or Under the Cherry Moon in the Purple Rain on a Graffiti Bridge

1999 and Purple Rain had a lot of New Wave. Erotic City sounds like that White Horse song... It's like he takes his songs and puts them through a current trend filter. of course nothing sounds like "The Ball" or "3121" .... I bet. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

You're trying to talk him into drugs, aren't you? As long as he shares with Prince. There's a few more Lovesexies left in him. One of Dansa's org hornies

I don't know about you, but waiting for Prince to get back to his 80's glory would make me feel like an old sock on a smelly foot. Heck, I almost felt like one when half the Org was nearly in tears from seeing Wendy and Lisa on stage. Honestly I think some of the older fans who never stop wishing for Prince to "get back" are trying to recapture their youth, when they were hip to the hippest act around and their older sister or brother finally had to play catch up.
For me, Prince is a fave artist I've followed for a long time and that I've seen go through all the mountains and valleys of life's big journey. Just like I accept the fact I'm not suddenly going to be the new hot young guy on the scene when I go out, I accept that Prince is in a different place now and a different era. I won't be slashing my wrists if he's never considered hip or edgy again. Sure, it would be nice but it isn't a fair expectation. He couldn't be pop's wonderboy forever.

(you dont have to watch Dynasty, act your age not your shoe size)...Prince lived in his own world, after say 1992 he's tried so hard to fit in with mainstream culture its painful to watch. He's like that nerdy cousin who just doesnt know he's wierd. I know. Before he knew he was weird and he LOVED it ! He played on it ! He created this whole mysterious Prince world. Do you think he could have done it is his name was Dave Jones or something? Prince was like a role model for everyone who felt weird or that they were too short, wore glasses, didn't quite fit in with the clique etc... Prince was never the cool kid in school. He was the little, nerdy kid who wrote poetry ! i agree 1000%
