Prince and The Band or Prince and the NPG? Is Prince changing the name of his band from the NPG? His new chant of Prince and the Band has got me wondering... | |

been NPG for quite a while now... "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"

He can't change the name to "The Band." Bob Dylan already has his band called "The Band."
Besides, the letters NPG are already all over everything at Paisley Park, including the record label... | |

I think he should change the name to "Prince and the Dirty Sanchez's". 
The first single release will be "Vodka and Dirty Sanchez".  When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. | |

I thought 'NPG' has sounded ultra-gay since its inception, 1991, 1992? I can appreciate the commitment, but redirect your artistic course already

i hope he changes the band's name. i've never liked the name 'new power generation' and especially the abbreviation NPG. i think it's kinda stupid to be honest. 'the revolution' just sounds better. and to be clear on this, i ain't talking about the music, just the names! 'prince & the band' would be cool.. too bad bob dylan beat the punch. don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
