I always heard this version never actually existed!

But on Amazon it is listed as appearing on the forthcoming "Ultimate Prince"....

...so what's the deal? Has anyone heard this version?

yes,I have heard this remix and it is GREAT.In my area,this version received alot of radio airplay.It was the B-side of the "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Mind" 12".

And it is extended!

I bought that 12" when it first came out. It also contains a dub version of "Hot thing". Where did you hear that it didn't exsist?

Warner is putting this out prior to Universal's release of 3121

Well there you go.... I must have confused this mix with something else... now it occurs to me I have seen it on that "I Could Never..." in some wrecka stows... guess I'm not so obsessed after all! This is a good thing.

There was a maxi single of Hot Thing released back in the day. I have it on Vinyl buried away somewhere. There were actually a few remixes of Hot Thing on it, if I remember it right. Though they were really only slight variations (dub mix, etc...)

Yes this exists and is one of the best remixes in the catalog.

My all time favorite Prince jam is Hot Thing .When the remixed version came out in November of 87 ,I played this until the needle wore a groove in the record.

I don't think it's necessarily out of spite for WB to be releasing the set around the same time as 3121, rather than just common sense. People are gonna be shopping for the new album, and will come across this one as well.

You might try someone like CDWOW.COM who ship free worldwide. Using them for years with no problems so far. I've ordered mine there, but you might get a little cheaper somewhere else. This works out at about Y2,500 :
