Anyone check out that page? Is it really from him? Seems like it. But it would be nice to confirm it's authenticity.. Maybe i'm just out of the loop if it's already been exposed as a fake. At any rate, the clip from the brit awards is there...

Nah actually, there's cursing in the "about me" column. That would never fly. Funny though cuz I linked to it thru Bootsy's page which is real, though there have been fake ones too. Plus he's only got like 1300 friends, Common's "official" page has like 30,000. Gotta be a scam. Oh well. Some of the people's comments are hilarious tho if it were really his. "Thanks for being an artist..." etc. Hilarious...

They announced "Black Sweat" and "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed" before anybody else did, so it's got something connected with it.

It could have been created by a fan, NPGMC or Universal, especially since Prince's fanhood is prime territory for viral marketing. My bet is that it's a simply a fan.

There is an official myspace prince page, just like there is for most bands now. It's just another way for a record company/ artist to market themselves. they are ususally not personally managed by the artist, but I'm sure the artist could get online if they wanted to and post stuff.

It seems legit to me but it's obvious that the page isn't run personally by him. Just like a few others have said, it's probably run by a Universal rep.

He's on Friendster too.

I think it would be run by whoever runs his website.
