Ok, slightly more coherent...
"Last Wednesday, the 15 fevrier, Universal France organized a "day of listens" forward first of the album "3121". I there was invited with my friend Raphy. Our 'ecoute' foreseen etait to 20H but we are arrive a little more tot in this magnificent loft of the 10th district that used place for this "listenning party". Here therefore my first impressions of this fine one "3121". And well I must say that this is positive plutot all that. For the moment I will not be able to say you in details my impressions on every song but plutot in the globalité. The album is enough RnB, Black music as a whole. This is not the direct continuation of the album "Musicology" for the latter was more rock more pop. And this is not an album of the type of "Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic" ... Prince returns with a sound legerement 'dancefloor'. It is necessary them to budge... and believe me one budges a lot on this disc... more often than on its last albums. And that does only good!!! "3121", the piece entitles, is a title tres funky in the meme register that Days Of Wild. Rather curious, a lot of people, less those that etaient there, one kept especially this piece as being the better one it the album. I am in agreement to say that it is good tres but the remainder reserve of the surprises... "Lolita" for example possede a wonderful homage to the group The Time, with these passages kind "Fellas ?"..."Yeah"... (If you know the songs of The Time, you see right away of what I speak!" I have also liked enormement the piece "Coils I's Forever". I found the refrain tres catchy. The song is not any a big originality but I really found that pleasing to hear. Curious, the album has not practically any ballads. Three according to me: "You Amo Corazon", "Satisfied" (heard some left at the time of the NAACP 2005) and "The Dance". Thing etonnante besides, the appearance of "The Dance" in the composition of the album. Nevertheless this piece is located already on the disc "The Chocolate Invasion", meme if the latter is not available that in downloading on the NPG Music Club. And nevertheless the song is not exactly the same. The words remain unchanged but all the instrumental one changed. This is henceforth a lot darker one. The voice of Prince is melancholy. I had that I is not hung to this version but the end of the piece is immense!!! Prince remakes us a final one to the "Beautiful Ones" ... a big vocal benefit. And at last the album finishes with "Get One The Boat", a piece very funky. A little as "Pretty Man" or "the Work pt.1". One rediscovers the percussions of Sheila E. and it paraitrait that Wendy be also on this piece. In live, that goes etre a killings... Maceo Parker repond once of more present for the solos of saxo... " | |
