People always like to discuss P's foul behavior. Well here's a story bobby Watson (rufus bass player) shared with me about Prince that y'all may dig:

"When i play live i use a Nathan East Yamaha 5 string bass as well as a Fender
Delux Jazz Bass with Di Addario round strings. Prince bought this bass for
me when British airlines destroyed a previous 5 string
i used on tour with Chaka,Larry Graham & Prince in
Europe."
