yeah, that's what i'm thinking too, that the ad's running in only certain regions. whichever pee-pee made the announcement should've been a bit more specific.

Gee, I feel privileged to have gotten one with the ad in it. I'm in Connecticut, and the paper says USA TODAY, Fri/Sat/Sun, February 17-19, 2006. I'd scan it but it's way too big and anyway, I'm lazy.

I'm probably the only nerd that buys USA Today every day anyway. I opened my email at work and saw the NPGMC note then tore my paper up looking for some Prince thing. I scanned the ad (in three parts) to post on another thread, but I'll post it here too.

[Edited 2/17/06 16:45pm] I'm a fellow nerd that does the same. I don't have time everyday to delve ino the NY Times, but USA Today is a very good alternative.

Well, I'm that "pee-pee" and let me just say that no good deed goes unpunished. How the hell am I supposed to know that an ad in a national newspaper would only run in certain markets? The paper's news content is the same from Bangor to San Diego, so am I nuts to figure the same would hold true for a full-page Prince ad? At least a few folks picked up the paper with the ad inside as a result of my thread, and I'm sure they're happy. For those that got another ad, I plead ignorance of USA Today's advertising methods, and I'm sorry for your trouble.

Well...I live in NY and was on my way home 1:30 am Sat morning. Went to catch the train at Grand Central. The huge news store was throwing out the newspapers. I saw one issue of USA Today. I took out the Life section. Found the ad and dumped the rest of the paper. I got it for free! To GOD be the Glory!

Of course it's not a 'big deal'. What kind of response is that?
They sent an email saying to get a copy of USA Today. It was easy to assume that it meant an article would be in the paper. No article, and in some cases, not even an ad. So it is a big deal in the sense that whoever sent that email from NPG gave misleading and vague information. So it was inconvenient and disappointing. Why did they even bother emailing the announcement of this?
