Symbolic? "Positivity", last song of Prince's "last masterpiece" Although I disagree, Lovesexy is often called Prince's last masterpiece. It's easy to see why, considering the often uneven albums that followed.
Anyway, if you buy into that and are kind of a naysayer, it must be quite fitting and ironic that the last song is called "Positivity" It's easy to see a reference to a more docile band (Wendy and Lisa-less) and the beginning of a period where few would dare say anything too critical, hence a certain musical decline and unbridled self-indulgence.

I think TRC deserves all the praise it garnered and a place on the mantel musically. Lyrically, I think it's not so good but that it will just be accepted as his true beliefs and that, with time, more people will just see TRC has a magnificent expression of that.

I think that his NPG records are overlooked when doling out the title "masterpiece." I especially enjoy "Gold Nigga." La, la, la
