with the number one album in the us only selling just over 100,000 copies last week, i confidently predict the prince will have his fourth number one album with 3121 later this month.....musicology sold around 170,000 in its first week in the us and i see no reason why this wont do as well.....so who wants a bet ?

yeah,it could easily go to Number One.These days,you only need to sell around 100,000 copies to debut at Number One....assuming there are no other "big" albums coming out that week.

I'd imagine a few more TV appearances, TV commercials and quite possibly another single right before the album drops

Well, the promotion has been great, Black Sweat is his biggest single in years, the 3121 reviews are great. 3121 doesn't have much big competition on it's week of release... so yeah, of course it'll be #1 in US & UK

There are no major releases slated this month. 3121 will make it to #1 with a mediocre sales performance, but that's good enough for me! I'll love seeing it scroll across the CNN ticker.
